How do I check in for my SunExpress flight?
The easiest way to check in is online or via the SunExpress app. It opens 36 hours before your flight and closes 3.5 hours before departure.
Follow these exact steps to log in:
- Visit the SunExpress Website and click My Booking.
- Select the Tour Operator tab (this is important!).
- Enter the Last Name of the lead passenger.
- Select On the Beach as your Tour Operator—even if you originally booked through the Sunshine website.
- Enter your Reference Number (this is your On the Beach or Sunshine reference and starts with MYB or SUN).
- Choose the One-way option. (You will need to repeat this process separately for your return flight 36 hours before you fly home).
- Confirm your flight details, enter your passport info, and you’re all set to download your boarding passes! 🎫
💡 Tip: You can find check-in instructions on your Manage Booking account for any of your flights, not just SunExpress! Just hit View and Manage Booking on your holiday and then head to the Your Flights section.
What happens if I don’t check in online?
Unless you have Special Assistance, you must check in online. If you wait until you get to the airport, SunExpress may charge a fee of up to £15 per person, per route. We’d much rather you spent that money on a duty-free treat! 🛍️
I’ve logged in, but only one passenger is showing. Where is the rest of my group?
Don't worry, this is quite common! If your whole party doesn't appear, you simply need to repeat the process for each individual passenger separately. Once you've entered each person's details, you’ll see them all confirmed under the same booking code.
I’m having issues logging in. Do you have any "pro tips"? 💡
If the system isn't letting you in, try these "hacks":
- The Age Rule: SunExpress counts anyone 12 or older as an adult. If a 12-year-old is listed as a child, the login will fail.
- One-Way Search: Ensure you have selected One-way rather than 'Return'—the system often won't find return booking in one go.
- Special Characters: Remove any accents or apostrophes from names (e.g., enter O’Malley as Omalley).
- The "Other Name" Trick: If the lead passenger’s name isn’t working, try logging in with the surname of a different passenger on the booking.
I have Special Assistance—how do I check in?
Online check-in isn't available for passengers who require airport assistance. Instead, just head to the SunExpress check-in desk at the airport. They will check you in free of charge! ✅
My SunExpress flight details look different from my booking confirmation?
If the flight times or numbers on the airline site don't match your On the Beach or Sunshine paperwork, don't panic! The flight you booked with us is the one you’ll take.
Our system automatically overwrites the airline's details closer to your departure date.

What is my baggage allowance?
- Hand Luggage: 1 piece per person up to 8kg (max 55cm x 40cm x 20cm).
- Checked Baggage: Usually 20kg per person, but only if you selected and purchased this at the time of booking. 🧳
How do I add extras like meals or specific seats?
Log into the SunExpress website or app to secure your in-flight extras. Just be sure to double-check that the flight number and times match your original paperwork before you pay, to ensure the extras are assigned to the correct flight!
