Whether you’re a "carry-on only" pro or you need a big suitcase for all those holiday outfits, here is how to check your allowance and make sure you’re all set for the airport.
Hold Luggage (The big cases) 🎒
Hold luggage is the luggage you 'check in' at the airport before you head through security. It’s whisked away on the conveyor belt and tucked under the plane while you relax.
Check your allowance: The best place to see what hold luggage is included is on your Flight Voucher or in the Flight Summary section of your paperwork.
Added Extras: If you bought hold bags when you booked, you’ll also see them in your Manage Booking account under Your Added Extras when hitting View and Manage Flights from the Your Flights section.
Double-check split flights: Flying out with one airline and back with another? Make sure to check the allowance for both legs of your journey, as they might be different!
Hand Luggage (The cabin essentials) 👜
Hand luggage is what you carry onto the plane with you.
Under-seat bags: Usually, a small personal item like a handbag or backpack that fits under the seat in front of you is free.
Cabin bags: If you want to bring a small suitcase for the overhead locker, there might be a cost depending on who you’re flying with.
Keep it current: Airlines change their cabin bag rules quite often! We always recommend checking your airline's website directly for the very latest size and weight restrictions. You can also see your specific allowance on your paperwork in the Flight Summary.
⚠️ A little heads-up: If you've added bags directly with your airline after booking with us, they won’t show up on your On the Beach paperwork. Don’t worry, though—the airline will have everything they need on their system!
